Since 2005, the team at Fremont Regional Hospice has helped hundreds of patients and their families face the physical, emotional and spiritual demands of life-limiting illness.
Our hospice offers Palliative care. Palliative care is for patients with life limiting illness still seeking curative measures to combat their disease or without terminal diagnosis. This type of care is focused on providing relief from symptoms and stress of a serious illness. The goal is to provide quality of life for both patient and the family.
General Palliative Qualifiers:
- Serious disease or life limiting illness
- Patient seeking curative treatment
- Patient does not have terminal prognosis
Characteristics of Palliative Care:
- Focuses on relief from the symptoms, pain and stress of a serious illness
- Aims to improve quality of life for both the patient and family
- Provides extra layer of support at any age and any stage in a serious illness and can be provided along with curative treatment.
