Memory Bears

What is a Memory Bear?
That yellow velour shirt your grandfather always wore, the patchwork quilt from your mother's bed, your son's favorite jeans---just seeing and feeling some fabrics can bring back precious memories of a loved one. At Fremont Regional Hospice, we know the importance of these memories and have found a way to preserve meaningful fabrics for the family members.
Memory Bears are sewn with love by some of the staff at Fremont Regional Hospice from your loved one's clothing or other meaningful fabric. These special bears help ease the pain when your missing your loved one. They hold silent witness to your sorrow or as a cuddly reminder of the loved one. A cuddle from a Memory Bear always delivers a special kind of care.
If you have recently lost or cared for a loved one and would like a Memory Bear, talk with one of Fremont Regional Hospice's staff at (719) 275-4315.
